Bio:

Karen Carmack – Artist Bio Karen Carmack is a ceramic artist, candle maker, and healing arts practitioner based in Parkville, Missouri. Born and raised in nearby Kansas City, she grew up surrounded by creativity—rooted in a family of artists and ceramicists who nurtured her natural curiosity and love for working with her hands. As a licensed massage therapist, certified life coach, energy healer, and yoga instructor, Karen brings a rare fusion of anatomical knowledge, tactile wisdom, and soulful intuition to her artistic practice. With decades of experience in the healing arts, she often describes her pottery as “touch made visible.” Karen works primarily with clay and wax, creating one-of-a-kind wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramic vessels, sculptural works, and hand-poured candles—each piece crafted to evoke comfort, beauty, and presence. Inspired by nature and guided by intention, her work reflects a deep belief that creativity and healing are profoundly intertwined. Through her business, Wholehearted Creative Wellness, Karen facilitates workshops across the Midwest, weaving together wellness, art, and embodiment. Her offerings—including the beloved Clay Club at Parkville Art House—invite others into a sensory, heart-led experience that reconnects them to themselves and to the sacred in the everyday.
