Bio:
Located in Kansas City, Missouri, Bill Ellis is an American artist and natural light photographer. In his photography, he captures the beauty of nature throughout the United States, focusing on large mammals, exotic birds, historical sites, and beautiful landscapes. Having spent most of his career in the aviation industry, Bill decided to follow his lifelong dream of becoming a nature photographer. Although he was formerly a hunter, he found it more rewarding to observe and appreciate wild animals in their natural habitat than to hunt them. The reason why Bill became a nature photographer at this point in his life was that "time gets lost in a career serving the public and it's easy to miss out on the beauty that surrounds us." The satisfaction of seeing and capturing some of nature's miracles will make it much more meaningful for those who haven't been privileged to experience them. Bill is a passionate conservationist who encourages all of us to appreciate and preserve the planet's diverse ecosystems. He is a member of the Northland Artists' Gallery in Weston, Missouri.
