Hank Tilbury
Prairie Village, KS
Bio:
I was born 1962 in Monroe, Louisiana and spent my young years in small towns in the Louisiana Delta and the Arkansas Ozarks. Aside from three semesters as an art student at the University of North Texas, with important lessons in drawing and design which I use to this day, I am self-taught as an artist.
I finally began to pursue painting seriously in my mid-30s, and have kept at it, with varying levels of consistency, since that time. I work primarily in watercolors, oils and acrylics, and my subject matter is split between plein-air landscapes and studio works drawn from mythology, folklore and pop culture. I have lived and worked in the Kansas City area since 2002.
