Bio:

Karen E. Griffin (KE) Artist Name: Art by .E Lewis .E is a textile and preforming artist whose work depicts her creative ancestor’s journey from Africa to america. Her impressions include African prints, paper, silk, cotton and canvas. Her abstracts, two-dimensional designs, quilts and textile panels evoke untold stories and life changing memories. Lewis has produced, curated and installed her textiles in art galleries, museums, gift shops and boutiques within the Kansas City area, digital in St. Louis and Melbourne, Australia. E’s textiles are obtained by local, regional and out of state art collectors. Her textiles are displayed monthly within art institutions and organizations. Her first and sixth solo exhibition were on display at the Black Archives of Mid-America one of Kansas City’s cultural landmarks.
